As a Sales Engineer at WitnessAI, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our customers and our sales, product, and engineering teams. Your primary responsibilities will include providing technical expertise during the sales process, assisting with product deployment, and ensuring our firewall solutions meet the security needs of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of both sales and technical aspects, particularly in the areas of network security and product implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions that align with their needs.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers throughout the sales process, from initial consultation to product deployment.
- Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and presentations to showcase the capabilities of our solutions.
- Assist customers with the deployment, configuration, and optimization of our products, ensuring seamless integration with their existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the deployment process, with a focus on firewall configurations and network security.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including deployment guides and best practices.
- Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback on customer requirements and potential product improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in network security, firewall and proxy technologies.
- Train and mentor junior sales engineers and sales team members on technical aspects of our products and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their technical needs are met and contributing to customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or in a similar technical role with a strong focus on customer interaction.
- Strong understanding of network security, including experience configuring firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and other security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with product deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues during product deployment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product development.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Proxy, Firewalls, CASB, SIEM
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
