Senior Marketing Manager

Location: Remote, open to occasional in-person meetings.

Sistas in Sales, the premier global community for women of color in sales, is actively seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead our marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to nurture, empower, and elevate women of color in the sales profession. As the Senior Marketing Manager, your leadership and creativity will be instrumental in shaping our journey and enhancing the value and impact we deliver globally.

About You

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in content marketing, content creation, event marketing, or marketing communications.
  • Excellent writing skills with an eye for detail, able to craft compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Previous experience working in marketing and an understanding of marketing best practices across email, social, and community.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with proficiency in various technology and data management systems, including event platforms, HubSpot, Canva, Google Drive, and others.
  • A proven track record of managing and successfully completing projects, demonstrating strong organizational abilities, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • The ability to multitask, creatively solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Comfort working in a live-event setting, with the ability to manage and execute event marketing strategies effectively on the ground.
  • Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Bard.ai, and Perplexity, and a willingness to learn and apply these tools to enhance marketing efforts.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Functions:

  • Membership Marketing: Design and execute tailored marketing strategies to attract and retain members, including developing content calendars, managing social media campaigns, and creating targeted email marketing initiatives.
  • Partner Marketing: Identify and collaborate with global partners to create impactful marketing initiatives that align with our community’s goals and objectives. This may involve developing co-branded marketing materials, cross-promotional campaigns, and joint events.

Event Marketing: Lead the marketing efforts for our key events, including the Aspiring Seller Summit and SIS Summit 2024. This involves developing event marketing plans, managing social media campaigns, creating engaging content, and ensuring a seamless attendee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute compelling marketing strategies to attract, engage, and retain members, elevating their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance.
  • Partner Marketing: Innovate and manage partner marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with our community’s values and add significant value.
  • Event Marketing: Spearhead the marketing for our flagship events, including the Aspiring Seller Summit and SIS Summit 2024, creating unforgettable experiences for our attendees.
  • Value Proposition and Positioning: Develop clear value propositions and positioning strategies. Implement campaigns that bolster membership subscriptions and enhance event participation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with the sales, customer success, and membership teams to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Sistas in Sales membership and offerings. These strategies will drive long-term value growth for the SIS business and enrich our members’ experiences.
  • AI Tool Expertise: Comfortably use AI tools like ChatGPT, Bard.ai, and Perplexity to enhance content creation, automate tasks, and gain deeper insights from data.
