Position Overview

StepStone Group, a leader across private market solutions in Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, and Infrastructure is seeking an Associate to work with the marketing and communications team. The position will be tasked with helping to position the firm as a thought leader. Writing and editing samples are required of all applicants.

Essential Job Functions

The Marketing & Communications Associate has several essential functions that include but are not limited to:

  • Drafting emails announcing new content and product developments
  • Writing original content for the company’s blog
  • Working with the social media team to promote content across channels
  • Maintaining relationships across the organization to generate content ideas
  • Helping to measure the performance of content

Education and/or Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communications or economics
  • 2–5 years’ experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong writer, able to explain complex topics to a broad audience
  • Strong proofreading skills; familiarity with a well-known style guide (e.g., Strunk & White or The Economist) a plus
  • An openness to receiving feedback from subject matter experts
  • Ability to work with multiple groups of stakeholders, each with their own idiosyncrasies


Salary: $90,000 - $112,500
