Role Overview:
We are seeking an IT Manager to join our team and lead the next level of growth for our IT with a focus on sustainability and security. As the IT Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our IT operations, ensuring that our infrastructure can grow seamlessly with our business needs. You will collaborate closely with various departments to support their technology requirements.
This full-time position requires the flexibility to travel to our Whitby office as needed periodically based on business needs (1-3 times per quarter).
Salary Range: 80-120k (Exact compensation may vary).
Responsibilities:
- Lead our IT function while providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Develop and implement IT policies and systems to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Ensure the security, efficiency and availability of IT infrastructure and operations.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity.
- Work to continuously improve, automate, and streamline our IT processes.
- Lead and Support SOC2 compliance audits.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the company’s operations.
- Continue to evolve the vulnerability management program, monitor systems for vulnerabilities and address them based on severity
- Monitor and respond to threats and potential security incidents
What You Bring to the Table:
- College or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in network administration and IT security protocols.
- Experience with administering the Microsoft Suite of tools.
- Strong experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis – Mac, Windows, Linux.
- Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity framework.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
